Parish Groups & Community Events

We invite you to join us weekly, and in a wide variety of annual events that are open not only to the parish and other Episcopal churches, but to all members of the community. Examples of these events include the following, which occur as often as resources allow.

No results found.

Book Club

This group gathers every other month during the academic year at the home of one of the Book Club members to share delicious food and to discuss the books they have read (or not) over the past two months. Each gathering focuses on two books-one fiction and one non-fiction-selected and assigned by the hosts.

St. Joseph's Guild

Men of Grace Church gather periodically to carry out special maintenance projects, to grill food for tailgate celebrations during football season and for parish picnics, and to sponsor the annual Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper, wearing the traditional green Grace Church aprons.

Annual Spaghetti Supper

An annual outreach benefit, Grace hosts a supper of spaghetti and all the trimmings each year.

Chili Cookoff

An annual event that brings out the best chili makers in the parish!

Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper

Hosted by the Saint Joseph's Guild (men of the church), annually on the Tuesday evening before Lent, the pancake supper provides an opportunity for the parish and community to enjoy fellowship over a delicious meal of pancakes and sausage.

Thanksgiving Potluck

A Thanksgiving meal for all who find themselves in want of some company on Thanksgiving! Everyone brings a favorite side dish and enjoy a good meal and good company with our church family.

Learn More about our Gardens

We believe that children are an important part of our church family and they are fully welcomed to participate at all church events and activities. Intergenerational fellowship, formation and worship are one of the best parts of our life together. For children specifically, Sunday School (using the Godly Play model) is offered at 9:15.

Children (and grandchildren) are always welcomed to participate in church services, and there are small activity bags they may use for quiet activities.

A nursery for children 4 and under is available in the parish hall building from 9:00 until 12:00.

Baptism Godly Play Our Life Together

We Episcopalians believe in a loving, liberating, and life-giving God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe in following the teachings of Jesus Christ, whose life, death, and resurrection saved the world. We have a legacy of inclusion, aspiring to tell and exemplify God’s love for every human being; women and men serve as bishops, priests, and deacons in our church. Laypeople and clergy cooperate as leaders at all levels of our church. Leadership is a gift from God, and can be expressed by all people in our church, regardless of sexual identity or orientation. We believe that God loves you – no exceptions.

None must, some should, all may. While masks are no longer required at any of our events, they are currently suggested and those who would prefer to mask are welcomed. We know that many among us spend time with loved ones who are vulnerable (including very young children and elderly adults); please protect those closest to you and help us know how we can support you in that.
